What im going talk about is the union that supports teachers well on June 30th there is strike going on now the article that im going to put up i find disgusting because this woman is pocketing a pay rise of 10% she now earns a healthy amount of money which is £140,000  and she is due to lead her members into a strike she is having a wage increase and the reason this strike is going ahead is because these people apose public sector and pension cuts this will have a crippling affect on the 23,000 state schools  and it will affect millions of school children and businesses  now these people deeply apose the bnp and edl and efp i wonder why is it that we no what these people are all about and if we gained power we would put a stop to this and we would pay our teachers hospital staff and other sector a proper wage and we would give the right back to the British and students would get free education because we feel strongly that we should be nurturing our young  this corrupt organisation wants people to believe that we are a bunch of nasty people and racists and that nobody should vote for us well i question this because going by this article i think that the worm is turning and these uaf-norfscarf  goverment funded people are showing there true colours can i add as well that we have people losing jobs every single day and these corrupt liers are generally taking the Mick it absolutely outrageous that this is happening and now we should be doing something about it

High speed hope Stoke on Trent

Meir Needs A Railway Station!

The proposed high speed rail link between London and Birmingham is a great idea - but there is an even better idea of how to use the £18billion that the project would cost. We could re-open hundreds of 'train stops' on railway lines that run into city centres, this would enable folk to access shops by rail thereby taking the pressure of our roads. Also, if these 'stops' were located in economically deprived areas it could become a key factor in the regeneration of that local economy. I'm thinking particularly here about people without cars (as petrol prices increase there will be millions of Britons who wont be able to afford car transportation) who's job prospects would be greatly improved if they had access to train travel.

And there is the real point, we have 10,000 businessmen who would benefit from the high speed rail project each year, but there are millions of Britons who effectively have extremely limited access to the rail network.

I think it would be wiser and fairer if the £18billion were used to supply more carriages on trains, extend short platforms and (in Meir's case) re-establish 'train stops' in urban areas that are painfully under resourced in terms of access to the rail network!

THE owner of a kebab shop linked by police to the disappearance of a schoolgirl has been jailed.

Jordanian Iyad Albattikhi, 34, was found guilty of assaulting another teenager who was involved in a drink and drugs night at the takeaway.

Albattikhi who runs the Mr Beanz outlet – formerly known as Funnyboyz –was jailed for 20 weeks by magistrates.

He was told by presiding magistrate Mrs Eileen Oldroyd: “Your victim was vulnerable because of her age and stature and she was under the influence of drink and drugs.

“You headbutted her and then attempted to tamper with the CCTV.”

“You also tried to degrade the victim in front of other people.”

During the trial it was revealed how the 18-year old-victim was a former girlfriend of the accused.

She was lured into a lifestyle of drink and drugs she could not have afforded herself.

After a day out with Albattikhi she went back to his flat above the takeaway with others and there was a row.

It ended with her trying to leave and Albattikhi assaulting her in the street outside.

The defendant was also made the subject of a two-year restraining order forbidding him to have any contact with his victim.

A victim’s statement was read to the court which said: “He is a horrible man. I don’t want to go into Blackpool in case I see him.

“He is so intimidating. I have had nightmares about him and cannot sleep properly.”

Albattikhi’s lawyer Rachel Faux said her client would appeal against the jail term.

She told the court that since revocation of his late night licence income from the takeaway had slumped.

She said her client had no previous convictions.

Albattikhi was charged in connection with the disappearance of schoolgirl Charlene Downes who has not been seen since 2003.

She was then 13 years-old. Her body has never been found. (Timesonline Article here)

A judge at Preston Crown Court ended proceedings against Albattikhi and another man after the quality of police evidence in the murder case was called into question.

Albattikhi, who lives above the takeaway, pleaded not guilty to assault but was convicted by Blackpool Magistrates after a trial.

He was then bailed for pre-sentence reports before being jailed.

He had nothing to say.

FATHER-TO-BE Clive Brown persuaded a 15-year-old girl to have sex with up to six men after selling her services on the internet.

The girl had gone missing from a children's home when Brown befriended the youngster and gave her a Hanley flat and a mobile phone.

Men would then visit a flat in Linden Court over six days and pay her £110-a-time for sex acts; with Brown pocketing £70.

Police later raided the flat after being tipped off by residents.

The 38-year-old repeated the same crime with an 18-year-old who he also offered for sex on the internet.

Now Brown, of Seddon Court, Linfield Road, Hanley, is starting a 10-month prison sentence after admitting two charges of causing prostitution for gain.

It is the first time Staffordshire Police has charged anyone with the offence.

Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard Brown persuaded the girl to work as a prostitute after meeting her on October 30, 2009.

Richard Dewsbery, prosecuting, said: "The 15-year-old girl had been in local authority care when she went missing after being allowed out. She went to Hanley to meet a friend and while there she was beckoned over by Mr Brown.

"He invited her back to his flat at Seddon Court for a cup of tea. A cup of tea turned into vodka and red bull and they had a game of strip poker before engaging in sexual activity with Mr Brown and some of his friends.

"He also showed her an adult website, where prostitutes advertise their work and can be booked by perspective clients.

"She agreed to do this after some persuasion because she said it would be easy money. She was given a mobile phone that would be used to book appointments at Linden Court, which was run by the defendant as a business for prostitution.

"He arranged a profile for her on the website and listed the sexual services she'd offer for money.

"But she didn't keep the easy money she thought she was making. Mr Brown would take the £110 and return £40 to her."

Brown yesterday apologised to the two girls through his barrister.

Peter McCartney, defending, told the court: "The young lady felt comfortable with the activities, she was free to leave whenever she wished and the activities occurred for only a week.

"Mr Brown has a fragile mental state and has suffered from depression and attempted suicide."

Judge Robert Trevor-Jones told Brown: "You befriended these women and made your own easy money."

Following the case, Detective Inspector Steff Lungrin said: "Brown's selfish attitude to females and his total lack of concern for their welfare is despicable.
